Tired of heading into that sweaty indoor gym on a beautiful FALL day? You don't have to! Open Air Fitness blends the exhilaration of being under an open sky and on varied terrain, with a unique and challenging total body workout you won't find anywhere else.

A fresh approach to fitness!

Come experience the outdoors like never before! By training in the Open Air, we reconnect to our affinity with nature. The result is a sense of well-being often missing in our hectic office and car-enclosed lives. This one-of-a-kind workout will strengthen your body, focus your mind, and bring variety and joy to your fitness routine - IT WILL GET YOU RESULTS!

Exercise opportunities will be available 2-3 days per week for about an hour. Workouts take place in a variety of Charlotte locations - from urban uptown settings to suburban park trails, even nearby mountaintops!

In each session you will:
  • Burn 500-800 calories with a blazin' cardio workout
  • Gain balance, agility, and power
  • Improve your flexibility
  • Invigorate your body and relax your mind
  • Work every darn muscle in your body!

** First Open Air Fitness workout is FREE **
$12 per session thereafter

What do we do in Freedom Park , you may be wondering? We warm up, run creatively, do medicine ball, agility, and speed drills, perform various exercises on the stairs (for balance, plyometrics, etc.), and we do partner, body weight, and resistance band strength training and core training. Then we stretch and cool down at the end, sometimes with some yoga. The format varies from session to session and usually depends on how many folks are there and what the prevailing fitness level is. But we always use every part of our body! You may even discover some new muscles :-)
