My Philosophy

Obesity has reached epidemic proportions in the United States." It's a theme we now hear repeatedly in the media. We constantly say such things as, "I have a slow metabolism, I have bad genetics, I can't control myself, I have no motivation." These are not reasons for being overweight, though in a few cases they may be contributing factors. What's worse, many people use them as blanket excuses. They become convenient places to shift the blame for your unsuccessful attempts to lose weight, feel better, and get in shape. But have you ever known anyone who was actually happy with being overweight? In reality, what these people are saying is, "I'm overweight and I hate it, but I don't know where to begin to change things. I'm frustrated, so I've just given up." But here's the GOOD news: your body has not betrayed you; you simply need help in understanding your body, and how to make it work more efficiently.

All bodies are unique, with different issues and different potential. As a result, no one diet or fitness regimen will help everybody. (Sorry, Dr. Atkins!) But EVERYBODY can look sculpted, lean and wonderful, and have a physique, form and figure they are proud to show off. The change starts in the mind, with a combination of knowledge and a new attitude, long before you even get to the body part. Know for a fact that your mind can either prevent your success, or ensure it. Training, guidance and education are at the foundation of what it takes to make the change.

Quick fixes yield temporary results. Fitness and weight loss must be approached as a lifestyle change rather than a quick fix. A lifestyle change is larger than 'losing a few pounds', more meaningful than 'looking good for your high school reunion.' It involves healthy eating, daily fitness, challenging goals, and even (believe it or not) rewards and treats. Fitness and nutrition are equally important to achieving the fit, attractive body and healthy state of mind that we all want. And consistency is the key to both. Yet, this does not mean that boredom, deprivation and embarrassment have to be part of the equation! Diets are temporary and so are their results. Healthy eating and daily fitness are lifestyle choices, which do yield permanent, magnificent results you can be proud of!

Inside of YOU are the strength, willpower, and self-respect that can propel you with lightning speed straight toward your fitness goals! I want to help you find it!
